The DISC Profile Index is offered in the View Instantly version and Person Cannot View Results version. It is the identical assessment and report for either version. For the View Instantly version, you will be able to view your report upon completion of the assessment. For the Person Cannot View Results version, we will email the report to the person who placed the order. The individual who completed the assessment will not be able to view the results. How old should you be to take the DISC Index assessment?
The DISC Index assessment is intended to be used by those who are 14 years or older. They are written at the 9th grade level for easy understanding.
What does the DISC Index instrument measure?
The DISC Index instrument from Innermetrix Publishing measures behavioral traits that are described by the DISC Index model. They are expressed in the form of DISC "styles" that are summarized as: Decisive (D), Interactive (I), Stabilizing (S) and Cautious (C). The DISC Index will give you a starting point to help you identify your own DISC style and then apply the principles of the DISC model to better understand how to relate more effectively to others. How do I view the results for the DISC Index "View Instantly" assessment?
Just report will be emailed to you to the email address you entered on the assessment website. If you need to access the report again you can click on the assessment link from your receipt and you will be able to view your report. You can also save the report to your computer once you have viewed it. Please contact us if you are unable to view your report.
Where do personality types come from for the DISC Index profile?
The DISC Index Profile is based on theories of human behavior that were originally presented in the book, "Emotions of Normal People" which was published in 1928 by Dr. William Marston. Dr. Marston believed that by understanding how our "normal" emotional responses adapt to the demands of of people, situations and societal expectation, we could evolve into better- integrated people who were more independent and able to realize true happiness in our work lives and personal lives. What Dr. Marston characterized as emotional responses or "primary emotions" are known today as Decisive (D), Interactive (I), Stabilizing (S) and Cautious (C).

Your report will be emailed to you upon completion of the assessment. You will be able to view your results immediately upon completing the assessment online. You can then save the report to your computer, print it email it. We suggest that you name the report and save it to your computer so that you will have it for quick and easy reference whenever needed.
I would like to use the 'Cannot View Results Version' of the DISC Index for my team, what is the process?
After you place your order, a receipt will be emailed to you containing individual assessment links for each profile you ordered. To issue the links, simply copy, paste and email a link to each individual in your group and ask them to click on the link and follow the instructions. After they complete the assessment, they will not be able to view their report. Instead, we will manually generate and email the report to you using the email address you used to place the order. DISC Index reports are manually generated and emailed within 1-3 hours during Eastern U.S. (EST) business hours. There is a DISC Team Square report option that will provide a scatterplot graph of your team's DISC styles. It is an excellent overview of the team's DISC styles represented in a a graph format that makes it very easy to visually see the individual profiles on the graph. Do I have to be certified to administer the DISC Index within my organization?
No, you do not have to be certified to administer the DISC Index within your organization. The reports are designed to be very user-friendly and easy to interpret.
How long does it take to complete a DISC Index assessment?
The DISC Index Profile consists of 14 screens where you will be asked to prioritize four adjectives on each screen. You will sort the words listing the words that would best describe you at the top and the words that would least describe you at the bottom. The assessment is not timed so you can take however long you like to complete. It will typically take about 10-15 minutes to respond to the items and finish the assessment. The link to take the DISC assessment will be issued instantly on your receipt.
